Your role at a glance 🤸‍♀️

As a Payment Operations Specialist (based in Sweden), you will ensure our card and payment operations run as smoothly as possible, supporting the wider business to resolve issues on time for our customers and working cross-functionally throughout the entire company. The Treasury Division is your family, and you will work closely with an eclectic group of people spread across three teams: FinCrime, Credit Operations and PayOps.

Your responsibilities 👏

In this role, you’ll:

• Work within your team and across functions to handle day-to-day operations be within the payment’s world. We are the engine room and aim to ensure that issues are raised and resolved as quickly as possible using efficient and effective processes and frameworks.
• Assist with customer-related payment and card issues, including but not limited to card declines, acceptance issues, payments sent/received in error, traces and recalls.
• Complete payment-related reporting for our external stakeholders and be a close partner to Juni’s finance division.
• Manage payment operation related reconciliations,
• Prepare and release daily operational payments
• Document and create procedures for Payment Ops

Qualifications 👑

What we need to see

• To be fluent in Swedish and English and be currently residing in Sweden.
• 3-5 years experience in FinTech, preferably as a Card Issuer, Processor or Scheme.
• Intricate working knowledge of card-based payment systems.
• Experience and understanding of different methods of money movement, i.e. banking rails, open banking, and local payment schemes.
• Communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable clarity and trust at all levels, with a proven track record of influencing and driving delivery across multiple partners.
• Comfortable managing constructive debate and willing to challenge the status quo.
• An operationally focused mindset, with an ability to see a problem through to resolution.
• Experience implementing procedures and process flows.
• Experience in service management, including day-to-day, SLA/KPI and performance monitoring and assurance.

What we’d love to see

• Experience working with multiple participants of the card payment value chain. E.g. Issuer, bureau, scheme, processor, banking provider.
• Subject matter expertise in recent payment methodologies, e.g. MDES, Open Banking, and Crypto.
• Excellent stakeholder skills with regulatory and participant stakeholders, with the ability to quickly understand stakeholder needs and define and implement corresponding actions.
